Easter Adventures

I love Easter!  This year we had a weekend full of Easter excitement.  Saturday started with an Easter egg hunt and barbecue with friends.  Emmaline found an egg and was pretty happy until her cousin Tru pushed her over.

Sunday morning began with a pretty Easter dress and an Easter basket.  Even though she is only 7 months old, I wanted Emmaline to have an Easter basket.  I had a wonderful time putting her basket together.

After attending church, we headed to Ephrata to spend Easter with Jeff's family.  There was lots of food, family, and another Easter egg hunt.

Earth Day

Today, Emmaline and I had the awesome privilege of having lunch at school with Maeha (niece and cousin). Maeha is in 2nd grade here in Coulee Dam and her teacher is a good friend.  In honor of Earth Day, every student had to create something out of items that we usually throw away.  Maeha made a garbage can out of a pop can and duct tape.  :)  The students also had to make a poster encouraging people to do things to help the environment.

I had a wonderful time and look forward to another chance to visit her at school.

Emmaline meets her birthday cousin

I didn't think I would look forward to Spring Break so much this year since I wasn't working.  I loved having Jeff home for a week and getting to spend time together as a family of three.  We worked outisde the first few days. To finish off the week we went to Spokane to visit family and friends.  We spent EVERY night of the whole week with friends and family.  We are so blessed!  Though I loved the every detail of the week, I loved getting to meet little Natalie.  Natalie, Tallie for short, is Jeff's cousin's daughter.  Emmaline and Tallie share the same birthday.  I have been waiting for them to meet for so long.  Spring Break was the perfect time for the two girls to finally have a "play date."

I was surprised to find that Tallie was more petite than Emmaline since Emmaline is tiny compared to both her baby boy cousins, Tru and Gideon.  She has a ton of hair compared to my little girl.  I love that Tallie gets to wear hair clips already!  I will just have to settle for headbands on Emmaline for now.  It seemed that the girls had a fun time, but I think the parents had the better time.  Getting to visit with Keith and Katie, Tallie's mom and dad, was such a treat. I can't wait to see them all at Easter!

The morning with Emmaline

Emmaline is so cute in the morning. On the mornings that I have appointments, I usually sit Emmaline down on the couch or the floor to play while I get our breakfasts ready. This is what I get to hear.

Once I have breakfast ready, I put Emmaline in her booster seat.  She has a complete change of mood.

When her bib comes off she starts smiling and giggling. Why does my baby hate food so much?

Made with Loving Stitches...

My little Emmaline has been so blessed!  Outfits, dresses, toys, stuffed animals, blankets, books... and the list could go on.  Today I dressed Emmaline in one of those lovely gifts - an adorable dress made by my friend Heidi.  Emmaline was a doll!  I can't wait til Emmaline grows into the next dress made by "Auntie Heidi!"
